Kellie Gagliardi, RN

Massage School/Year Graduated: Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy/2009

Professional Background: Kellie earned a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Michigan in 1998, and worked for 10 years as a labor & delivery nurse. Since 2010, she has been nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork (NCTMB).

What prompted you to work in this field? “I have a strong desire to care for patients, but in a different way from Nursing.  I found massage therapy to be a great way to continue to promote a healthy lifestyle, instill a sense of well being, and provide pain management.  I believe in working with clients to take an active role in their own plan of care.”

Specialty: Kellie uses a combination of techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports and myofascial release in developing a plan of care for clients. She also has a special interest in pregnancy and infant massage.

Personal life/hobbies: In her free time, Kellie spends time with her family doing fun things around Ann Arbor.  She also enjoys coaching youth soccer and running.  One of her personal goals is to complete a triathlon in the near future.

Fun Fact: Big U of M fans, Kellie and Joe taught their kids the Michigan fight song when they could barely walk.  And they lived in Ohio!  Very brave!
